<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of an apparatus able to generate a stereoscopic image. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises a first lens group, a second lens group, and an image processing part. In the first lens group, two polarizers including a first polarizer and a second polarizer for polarizing light from a subject, whose polarization directions are orthogonal to each other, are located at the side of a subject with respect to a diaphragm arranged near the polarizers. In the second lens group, a third polarizer whose polarization direction is parallel to the first polarizer and a fourth polarizer whose polarization direction is parallel to the second polarizer are located at the side of the imager arranged on a light receiving surface with respect to a diaphragm. The image processing part generates a stereoscopic image based on image data generated by conversion of light made incident on the imager via the first and second lens groups. The second lens group has positive refractive power and the characteristics of the first lens group and a second lens satisfy certain conditions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
