<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress uneven density in a formed image. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid developer is provided, comprising an insulating carrier liquid and toner particles that are dispersed in the carrier liquid and comprise a binder resin and a colorant. The toner particles have such properties that: when the toner particles are left to stand for 20 minutes without applying shear stress (in a static state), the center particle diameter (number median diameter) D50p of the toner particles on a particle diameter distribution curve by number-basis statistics is 1 μm or less; the center particle diameter (volume median diameter) D50v of the toner particles on a particle diameter distribution curve by volume-basis statistics is 2.5 μm or more and 5.5 μm or less; when shear stress of 10 [1/s] or more is externally applied to the toner particles (under a stressed state), the center particle diameter (volume median diameter) D50v of the toner particles on a particle diameter distribution curve by volume-basis statistics is smaller by 0.2 μm or more than the above volume median diameter D50v in the static state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
