<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a muffler that can be miniaturized by devising the shape of a connection pipe passage for connecting an exhaust port of an engine to an expansion chamber, and the shape and the arrangement of the expansion chamber, and to provide an engine working machine having the same. <P>SOLUTION: A connection pipe passage 21 is connected to an exhaust port 8 in an extending manner in the axial direction of the exhaust port. A branch pipe 30 with one end being closed and the other open end being connected thereto is connected to the connection pipe passage 21. Another end of the connection pipe passage 21 is connected to an expansion chamber 40, and the connection pipe passage 21 is curved in a U-shape so that a connection port of the connection pipe passage 21 to be connected to the expansion chamber 40 is directed to a crankcase 9 side. The expansion chamber 40 is disposed in a curved space between an engine block consisting of a cylinder 3 and the crankcase 9 and the connection pipe passage 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
