<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize data migration between storage devices without causing the storage devices to degrade their performance for a host. <P>SOLUTION: A storage device 10 comprises: a storage unit 128 for storing received data; an investigation frame transmission unit 121 for transmitting investigation frames to plural other storage devices 10 connected with each other via a communication network 50; a migration destination determination unit 123 for determining a migration destination storage device among the plural other storage devices 10 based on received results of response frames to the investigation frames; and a migration processing unit 124 for performing migration processing to migrate data from the storage unit 128 to the migration destination storage device 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
