<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the input load at the vehicle crash transmitted with proper balance, to the vehicle rear side well through its hollow member and bulkhead, when the hollow member and the bulkhead are arranged to the front pillar. <P>SOLUTION: The load transmitted at the vehicle crash is input in the hollow member 22 and the bulkhead 14 at nearly same time, since the lower end of the hollow member 22 is accommodated in a recess 34 installed in the vehicle front side end of the bulkhead 14, and a front end wall 38 of a projection 36 and a vehicle front side end 40 of the hollow member 22 are made nearly in agreement in the vehicle back and forth direction. Then the load comes to be transmitted from the bulkhead 14 to the vehicle rear side through belt line reinforcement 58 etc. while the load is transmitted from the hollow member 22 to the vehicle rear side through a front pillar 12 etc., and the input load at the vehicle crash comes to be transmitted to the vehicle rear side well in the balance through the hollow member 22 and the bulkhead 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
