<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a high-quality loop moving image to be more easily obtained. <P>SOLUTION: When a plurality of frames of continuously captured images serving as a material for a loop moving image are input, the continuously captured images are divided into a plurality of segments which include movement segments including moving subjects and still segments including motionless subjects. Then, images in the region of a movement segment of the continuously captured images are converted into a loop moving image to generate a segment loop moving image. Moreover, an image in the region of a still segment of the continuously captured images is cut out to generate a segment image as a still image. Further, the segment loop moving image and the segment image are combined to form one loop moving image.
