<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discharge bubbles by detecting positions of bubbles inside a liquid chamber and guiding the bubbles to an outlet according to the result of detection. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid jetting apparatus includes a plurality of ultrasonic output parts for outputting ultrasonic waves toward the inside of the liquid chamber, and the positions of the bubbles inside the liquid chamber are detected based on reflected ultrasonic waves output from at least one of the output parts. By driving an ultrasonic output part selected from the plurality of the ultrasonic output parts according to the result of detection, bubbles inside the liquid chamber are moved to the outlet. Accordingly, the ultrasonic waves are output from the ultrasonic output part on the opposite side from the outlet of the bubbles inside the liquid chamber, so that the bubbles can be moved to the outlet. By guiding the bubbles to the outlet in this way, bubbles flow out of the outlet together with the liquid, and therefore, bubbles inside the liquid chamber can be discharged. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
