PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to make only the structure of a data line, thereby effectively reducing defective rubbing which is generated in a step area of a data line during rubbing processes for aligning liquid crystals. CONSTITUTION: A rubbing pattern unit(610) comprises a plurality of first inclined surfaces and a plurality of second inclined surfaces. The first inclined surfaces are parallel to a rubbing direction. The second inclined surfaces are vertical to the rubbing direction. The first inclined surfaces and the second inclined surfaces share one sides of the first inclined surfaces and the second inclined surfaces each other. Each first inclined surface and each second inclined surface are alternately arranged in a direction in which a data line is extended.
