PURPOSE: A reducing device is provided to reduce total length by connecting an input shaft to an output shaft in an orthogonal direction. CONSTITUTION: A first drive pinion(222) is formed on an end portion of an input shaft. A first driven gear(231) is geared to the first drive pinion. A first parallel shaft(232) is a rotary shaft of the first driven gear. A second driver pinion(233) is formed on the first parallel shaft. A second driven gear(241) is geared to the second drive pinion. A second parallel shaft is placed in the housing which can be rotated. The second parallel shaft is a rotary shaft of the second driven gear. The second parallel shaft is parallel to the input shaft. An output shaft is perpendicular to the input shaft.
