<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distance measurement device and an imaging apparatus capable of preventing distance measurement data with significant error from being output when a pair of distance measurement lenses are displaced in a direction orthogonal to the direction of the length of a base line. <P>SOLUTION: When a comparison image with high correlation in a second comparison block S2 relative to a reference image in a first reference block S1 is searched for, they are displaced by a predetermined position in a direction perpendicular to the length of the base line and search is carried out in the same direction as the length of the base line. A determination is made whether a relative position difference (the minimum value of a matching value) between the reference image in imaging data calculated by the search and the comparison image is smaller than a predetermined value or not. If the determination is made that the relative position difference is smaller than the predetermined value, the calculated relative position difference is used for distance measurement calculation. If the determination is made that the relative position difference is greater than the predetermined value, the calculated relative position difference is not used for distance measurement calculation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
