<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a fault-tolerance property of a communication device having an OADM function to prevent deterioration in transmission quality. <P>SOLUTION: An optical signal branch device connected with an end station device via a network, has: a first signal band controller for demultiplexing a first input signal received from the end station device for each band, and multiplexing transmitted bands among the bands to output it as a first output signal; a second signal band controller for demultiplexing a second input signal received from the end station device for each band, and multiplexing transmitted bands among the bands to output it as a second output signal; a multiplexing part for multiplexing the first and second output signals; and a transmission controller for, in the case that any one of the bands of the demultiplexed first input signal is eliminated, controlling the second signal band controller so that the band of the second input signal corresponding to the eliminated band is transmitted depending on an instruction from the end station device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
