The purpose of the present invention is to provide an optical sorter capable of increasing the recovery rate for non-defective products, without increasing the size of a device. This optical sorter (1) is characterized by comprising: a granular item supply unit (2) having an accumulation means that accumulates sorting items and a transfer means that transfers the sorting items from the accumulation means; an optical sorting unit (3) comprising a discharge hopper having an optical detection means that detects the sorting items, a determination means that determines the sorting item type, an ejector that removes the sorting items from a prescribed falling path, a first discharge path disposed at a falling position for the sorting items that fall along the prescribed path, a second discharge path disposed at a falling position for the sorting items removed from the prescribed falling path, and a third discharge path formed between the first discharge path and the second discharge path; and conveyance means (4, 5) that convey the sorting items discharged from the third discharge path to the accumulation means in the granular item supply unit.
