PURPOSE: A data transmission system and method for a display device and the display device are provided to improve stability of data transmission by allocating a bit pattern having high data change index according to an amplitude of a gradation voltage. CONSTITUTION: An encoder has one or more translation tables. The encoder encodes m(m is a natural number) bits of data to n(n is the natural number or n>m) bits of data based on the translation table. A clock reproduction circuit reproduces a clock from the data which is encoded by the encoder. A decoder decodes the encoded n bits of the data to the m bits of the data according to the clock which is reproduced by the clock reproduction circuit.
