<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide injection-molded polymer blends with improved notched Izod impact strength and temperature stability. <P>SOLUTION: The polymer blends contains: (A) 70 to 75 wt.% of at least one flexible biodegradable polymer (A) having a glass transition temperature of less than about 0°C, selected from aliphatic-aromatic polyesters; (B) 25 wt.% of at least one rigid biodegradable polymer (B) having a glass transition temperature of greater than about 10°C, selected from biopolymers based on polylactic acid; and (C) 0 to 5 wt.% of at least one biodegradable additive, wherein the polymer blend has a notched Izod impact strength according to ASTM D256 of at least 397.5 J/m (7.5 ft-lbs/in). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
