<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that even when a vibration which has the same time phase and a vibration order differs by 1 compared to that of a first flexural vibration is excited, by detecting each vibration, it is found that a time phase shifts depending on the ambient temperature of optical members as well as the adherent condition of a piezoelectric element. <P>SOLUTION: The degree of time phase shift is detected which is produced between the vibration detected when a flexural vibration of mth order vibration mode is excited to an optical low-pass filter 410 and the vibration detected when a flexural vibration of m+1th order vibration mode is excited to an optical low-pass filter 410.
