<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a liquid crystal device in which an element substrate and a counter substrate are attached to each other using an ultraviolet ray curable sealing material, that can solve the problems of both the entrance of an uncured component from the sealing material to a liquid crystal layer and the displacement between the element substrate and the counter substrate. <P>SOLUTION: For attaching an element substrate 10 and a counter substrate 20 to each other using an ultraviolet ray curable sealing material 107 in a liquid crystal device, the sealing material 107 is heated by an infrared ray IR and then irradiated with an ultraviolet ray. Thus, the sealing material 107 is cured by the ultraviolet ray UV in a state that the temperature of the sealing material 107 is high, so that polymerization reaction of the sealing material 107 is completed. In the heating of the sealing material 107, the sealing material 107 is selectively irradiated with the infrared ray IR; therefore, even when the sealing material 107 is sufficiently heated, the temperature increase of the element substrate 10 can be minimized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
