<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasound diagnostic apparatus for generating a B mode image and a precise sound speed map by reducing influences of refraction of ultrasonic beam received from the abdominal wall while using a convex-type ultrasound probe. <P>SOLUTION: When a shape of the abdominal wall of a subject detected on the B mode image almost matches curvature of a vibrator array (S4), ultrasonic beam for a sound speed map is transmitted/received while being subjected to convex scanning from the vibrator array with respect to a region of interest ROI to generate a sound speed map in the region of interest ROI (S5). When the shape of the abdominal wall is almost linear (S8), ultrasonic beam for the sound speed map is transmitted/received while being subjected to linear scanning from the vibrator array with respect to the region of interest ROI to generate a sound speed map in the region of interest ROI (S9), furthermore, the ultrasonic beam for the B mode image is transmitted/received while being subjected to convex scanning from the vibrator array to an entire photography area to generate the B mode image (S6), and the B mode image and the sound speed map image are displayed (S10). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
