REGISTRATION SPEED IMPROVEMENT WITH VIRTUAL ENDOSCOPE USING STEREO ENDOSCOPE

PURPOSE: A matching speed improvement method is provided to improve matching speed with a virtual endoscope by creating stereo endoscope image using a stereo endoscope. CONSTITUTION: A stereo endoscope image is created by using a stereo endoscope. A down-scale image is formed from the stereo endoscope. A down scale depth map is formed from the down scale image. An upscale image is formed from the down scale depth map. A CT(Computed Tomography) image or an MRI(Magnetic resonance Imaging) image is formed. An endoscopic examination is performed on the CT or the MRI. A depth map is formed. A final image is formed by uniting the upscale image and the depth map.
