<p>A one-touch pipe coupling (1) is provided comprising, a lock ring (6,7) having a plurality of first pawls (64,74) that function to apply a pressure against a circumferential surface of an inserted pipe (80) and a plurality of second pawls (65,75) that function to lock the inserted pipe when withdrawing. When the inserted pipe is pulled in the withdrawing direction, the lock ring (6,7) is pulled in the same direction whereby the pipe is fastened by the first pawls (64,74) and locked by the deformation of second pawls (65,75) by the interaction with a surrounding surface to be urged against the circumferential surface of the pipe. The pipe is steadily and firmly locked in the pipe coupling when a force is exerted in a direction for withdrawing while allowing easy insertion of pipe with less resistance by the dents or pawls carried by the lock ring.</p> |
