PURPOSE: A bitter taste-masked rapidly disintegrating oral film formulation of citric acid is provided to mask bitter taste and to improve drug compliance and convenience. CONSTITUTION: A bitter-taste-masked rapidly disintegrating oral film contains sildenafil citric acid, sodium hydroxide, and film forming agent. The film formulation further contains sodium hydrogen carbonate. The film forming agent is pullulan, gelatin, pectin, low viscosity pectin, hydroxyl propyl methyl cellulose, low viscosity hydroxyl propylmethyl cellulose, hydroxyl ethyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, carboxy methyl cellulose, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, polyvinyl alcohol, polyacrylic acid, methyl methacrylate copolymers, carboxy vinyl polymers, polyethylenen glycol, hydroxyl propyl P starch, alginic acid, low viscosity alginic acid, modified starch, acacia gum, carageenan, arabia gum, guar gum, gellan gum.
