PURPOSE: A portable heater is provided to prevent the waste of power by detecting the temperature of an ignited catalyst and blocking the power for an ignition unit. CONSTITUTION: A portable heater(100) comprises a case(200), a heating body(500), a fuel case, a ignition unit, a battery, first and second terminals, and a temperature controller. The fuel case supplies fuel to a catalyst, and comprises a fuel supply hole. The ignition unit ignites the fuel supplied to the catalyst. The battery supplies electricity to the ignition unit. The first and second terminals are installed in the case, and separated at a constant interval to fix the both ends of the battery. The temperature controller controls the opening degree of the fuel supply hole.
