<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of shortening a print starting time while reducing power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 10 includes: an ink jet type print head; a printing means having an ink circulation unit 7; a storage section 16 for storing a print job; and a controller for controlling the printing means to perform printing of a print job before transition to a sleep mode when operating the ink circulation unit based on information of the print job, and when the operation of the ink circulation unit is not required based on the information of the print job, storing the print job in the storage section, and controlling the printing means to print the stored print job after recovering from the sleep mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
