<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance image quality without losing reliability of a head in a thermal head. <P>SOLUTION: The thermal head includes: a substrate; a plurality of heating resistors 11 arranged on the substrate at intervals in the main scanning direction; a first common electrode 24 commonly connected to a parallel heating resistor 11A composed of two heating resistors 22A connected in parallel among the plurality of heating resistors 11; a second common electrode 25 commonly connected to a series heating resistor 11B composed of two heating resistors 22B connected in series among the plurality of heating resistors 11; an individual electrode 26 individually connected to every two heating resistors 11 of one parallel heating resistor 11A and one series heating resistor 11B; and a controller connected to the individual electrode 26 via a bonding wire W2 to control heating of the heating resistors 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
