<p>An automobile brake apparatus (1) comprises a brake pedal (2) disposed at the foot (Rd) of a driver's seat and positioned laterally to an accelerator pedal (10). An upper surface (2pu) of a brake step-down plate portion (2p) of the brake pedal (2) for placing a leg portion (Le) of a driver, when not stepped down, is set to be higher than an upper surface (10pu) of an accelerator step-down plate portion (10p) of the accelerator pedal (10) for placing the driver's leg portion (Le) when not stepped down, by a predetermined height (Hu). The brake pedal (2) also includes a guide plate portion (2s) integrally protruding downward from one end (2ps) (closer to the accelerator step-down plate portion (10p)) of the brake step-down plate portion (2p) by a predetermined length.</p> |
