<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biochip capable of improving detected fluorescence intensity. <P>SOLUTION: A biochip 1 includes a substrate 1A, a plurality of reaction tanks 2, and a Fresnel lens 3. The substrate 1A has a disc chape, and is rotated with a rotation shaft 11. The plurality of reaction tanks 2 are formed on an outer peripheral portion of the substrate 1A at an intermediate portion in a thickness direction of the substrate 1A, at intervals in a circumferential direction. The reaction tank 2 forms a storage space S for storing a specimen and mixture 4 of a reagent, by a bottom surface 102, an upper surface 104, and a side surface 106. Exciting light irradiates the mixture 4 stored in the storage space S through one surface of the thickness direction of the substrate 1A and the bottom surface 102. Fluorescence generated from the mixture 4 by the irradiation of the exciting light passes through the side surface 106 and an outer peripheral surface of the substrate 1A, and is detected from the outer peripheral surface. The Fresnel lens 3 condenses the fluorescence, and is formed on each reaction tank 2 at a place of the outer peripheral surface of the substrate 1A through which the fluorescence passes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
