The ring (20) has a radial band (32) extending in a plane perpendicular to a ring axis. A friction section (28) includes a conical friction surface (36) for force-fit connection with a gear wheel side counter surface of a manual transmission. Axially projecting coupling tabs (40) are designed at the band to engage in an opening of a synchronizing body. Projections (46) are designed at the band at a distance from the tabs in a circumferential direction for centering the ring relative to the body. A serration (34) of the band continuously extends over a region radially outside the projections. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a sheet-synchronizing ring.
