The present invention discloses a method for realizing ring network protection, which comprises: nodes at both ends of each cross-segment of a path on the ring network perform Signal Degrade (SD) alarm detection to the cross-segment; each node sends the detected SD alarm to a protection node of the path; when receiving the SD alarm, the protection node performs protection switching process to a service on the cross-segment where the SD alarm occurs. The present invention further discloses a system for realizing ring network protection, which comprises cross-segments, nodes and protection nodes of the path on the ring network. With the method and system of the present invention, the network service quality of the services on the Transport Multi-Protocol Label Switching (T-MPLS) ring network can be ensured. |
