<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label and label paper which has a simple configuration and does not easily come off due to application of an external force. <P>SOLUTION: The label has: a first folding line formed in a folding position in one end side; first and second holes formed in positions which are superposed one over the other when the label is folded along the first folding line, sequentially from the one end side; and a first single cut line or slit which have both ends communicating with the first and second holes respectively and crosses the first folding line.
