PEDF MICRO-NEEDLE ARRAY AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME

Provided is a PEDF micro-needle array that can be inserted easily and evenly into the surface layer of the skin and/or the stratum corneum of the skin without breaking and that dissolves easily. This PEDF micro-needle array comprises micro-needles containing a pharmaceutically effective amount of one or more drugs selected from the group consisting of PEDF and active partial peptides thereof. Four types of peptides are shown to be effective as active partial peptides. Preferably, PEDF and the active partial peptides thereof are retained only in the tip end sections of the micro-needles because PEDF and the active partial peptides thereof are expensive. Preferably, the material of the micro-needles is a water-soluble polymer, and particularly a polysaccharide. With this micro-needle array, it is possible to inhibit hair loss or induce the promotion of hair growth.
