<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network connection setting system, a connection device, a network setting method, and a network setting program which are capable of setting network connection in which security is ensured and an increase in cost is not caused, when constructing a network using network devices. <P>SOLUTION: A connection device 13 is connected to a network device 11 which is to be connected with the network, to obtain device-characteristic information. An administrative server 12 previously stores the device-characteristic information of each network device 11 and setting information associated with each piece of the device characteristic information, according to the plan of a network construction.
