PURPOSE: Smart mobile rack system and method are provided to improve the task convenience and effectiveness by remotely controlling and inquiring information about a mobile rack. CONSTITUTION: A smart mobile rack system includes a frame unit(1), a moving unit(2), an electro-motion unit(4), a terminal unit(6), a database unit(7), and an authentication server(8). The frame unit forms skeleton of a mobile rack, and includes plural slave frame units and a master frame unit controlling the slave frame units. The moving unit supports the frame unit from the lower side, and moves the frame unit. The database unit saves storage information of the plural slave frame units and the master frame unit. The electro-motion unit controls the operation of the mobile rack, and provides electricity to the moving unit. The terminal unit remotely grasps the storage information of the mobile rack, and controls the mobile rack. The authentication server authenticates the terminal unit, and trans-receives the information.
