<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a positive electrode active material capable of forming a uniform covering layer easily and provide a battery using the positive electrode active material obtained thereby. <P>SOLUTION: A precursor layer of hydroxide containing at least either of Ni and Mn is formed at least partially on composite oxide particles containing Li and Co (Step S101), and the hydroxides of the precursor is dehydrated through a heating process and thereby the covering layer of oxides containing at least Li and either of Ni and Mn is formed (Step S102). The precursor layer is formed in a basic disperse medium containing ammonia, whereby it is possible to suppress a steep change of the basicity and enhance the uniformity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
