PURPOSE: An SNP primer for distinguishing Yunpoong breed of Panax ginseng C.A.Meyer and a distinguishing method are provided to quickly and accurately distinguish the breed from imported ginseng. CONSTITUTION: An SNP primer for distinguishing Yunpoong breed of Panax ginseng C.A.Meyer is used for amplifying a polynucleotide with 811th nucleotide in which B is substituted with T. The SNP primer contains a base sequence of sequence number 2, 3, or 4. A kit for distinguishing the breed contains the SNP primer. A method for distinguishing the breed comprises: a step of isolating DNA from a sample; a step of identifying SNP base is T at 811th nucleotide; and a step of performing PCR of the polynucleotide.
