PURPOSE: A guide wheel unit for a Y-type monorail is provided to prevent a guide wheel from being separated because of being rapidly restored to a normal driving state again after absorbing and dissipating temporary external force applied to the guide wheel in real time. CONSTITUTION: A guide wheel unit for a Y-type monorail comprises a motor car frame(9), air cylinders(11), cylinder rods(13), guide wheel frames(17), guider wheels(21), links(22), actuating shafts(27), and rotating shafts(29). The motor car frame is connected to a body of a motor car to constantly maintain the form of the motor car. The air cylinders are arranged in both sides of a mounting space(7) in the motor car frame to have air expansive force. The cylinder rods are coupled to each air cylinder and a first actuating hole is formed in the other side of cylinder rod to deliver the air expansive force. The guide wheel frames are coupled to the exterior of the mounting space where the air cylinders are arranged and a first rotating hole is formed in the other side of the guide wheel frames. The guider wheels are rolled and contacted in an inclined surface at the top of a monorail to guide the drive of the motor car. The links rotatably couple the guider wheels to wheel shafts with bearings.
