<p>The adaptive warning signal is generated as a sound or noise by a vehicle such that the volume of the sound is adjusted to the ambient noise levels. The signal is adapted by the measurement of the ambient noise levels, where the measured value is inputted to a controller. The output of the controller determines the volume of the warning signal, where a version of the controller has a non-linear output. The natural volume of the vehicle is evaluated by the controller, where the measured value of the ambient noise levels is removed for the warning signal.</p> |
