<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Russian word search device for electronic dictionaries etc. that enables easy and quick searching of an entry word of a Russian dictionary inputting alphabetic characters. <P>SOLUTION: After inputting an alphabetic character string [lemon] corresponding to a Russian word pronunciation in an alphabetic search word input area Ae on a search word input screen G1 set in a [alphabetic-Cyrillic character pronunciation conversion input] mode, the input alphabetic character string is converted according to an alphabetic Cyrillic character similar voice conversion table into a Cyrillic character string [[Cyrillic transliteration pronounced like "ljemon"] (the first likely)] and [[Cyrillic transliteration pronounced like "lemon"] (the second likely )]. Then spelling of the converted Cyrillic character string is checked if there is a matching Russian entry word in the [Russian-Japanese dictionary]. If no matching entry word is found, the character string is corrected to a search character string [Cyrillic transliteration pronounced like "limon"] which matches the most approximate entry word, then the explanatory information [[Cyrillic transliteration pronounced like "limon"] [Japanese corresponding to "lemon"]] of the entry word is extracted and displayed as an explanatory information display screen G2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
