<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound reduction method for preventing emission of sound, from an opening toward the same direction together with air fed by a blower means toward the outside, of a specific frequency generated by a driving mechanism such as a motor without being reduced. <P>SOLUTION: In the method of reducing the sound generated from a sound source and emitted from the opening communicating the inside/outside of a housing, a plurality of channels whose openings communicate the inside/outside of the housing and whose center-to-center distances between adjacent channels are the same are formed, and the lengths of the adjacent channels are set so that phase differences are produced in sound waves emitted through the plurality of channels from the sound source. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
