<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal polyester having high lightness. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a liquid crystal polyester which comprises recurring units (1) derived from an aromatic hydroxycarboxylic acid, recurring units (2) derived from an aromatic dicarboxylic acid, and recurring units (3) derived from an aromatic diol, an aromatic hydroxyamine or an aromatic diamine, wherein, the content of the recurring units (1) is 50-80 mol% per the total amount of the whole recurring units, the content of the recurring units (2) is 10-25 mol% per the total amount of the whole recurring units, the content of the recurring units (3) is 10-25 mol% per the total amount of the whole recurring units, the content of recurring units (A) containing a 1,2-phenylene skeleton or 1,3-phenylene skeleton in the main chain is 5-30 mol% per the total amount of the whole recurring units, and the flow initiation temperature is 270-320°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
