<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the life of a bearing by previously calculating the stress distribution of a retainer to eliminate only a highly stressed part, thus reducing peak stress. <P>SOLUTION: A ball bearing retainer 6 is formed into an annular shape as a whole and includes pockets 8 provided at a plurality of parts in the circumferential direction for rotatably retaining a plurality of balls 5. Then, on the basis of the previously calculated stress distribution of the retainer, only the highly stressed part is eliminated, so that the shape of a retainer cross section of a corner 8b of a pocket bottom 8a becomes a concave curve shape as the structure when viewed from the ball 5 side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
