<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a user sense quick response to operation in continuous dimming. <P>SOLUTION: A dimming control device 20 receives operation signals at a predetermined period during operation of an operation device 30 to be used for continuous dimming operation. During a period that the receiving frequency of operation signals received from the operation device 30 is less, i.e. in an initial period of operation start of the operation device 30, the dimming control device 20 can increase variation in changes of an illuminance ratio of one step as compared with that after the initial period.
