<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device, a navigation method and a program, by which traffic information can be acquired according to a timing for updating the traffic information at an information distribution center without concentrating a load of a traffic information distribution process to the information distribution center. <P>SOLUTION: The device includes: estimated time acquisition means for acquiring an estimated arrival time at which an own vehicle arrives at a branch point of this side before approaching to a toll road on a recommended route to a destination; update time information acquisition means for acquiring update time information about a traffic information update time at which the traffic information is updated at the information distribution center; update time setting means for setting the traffic information update time which does not exceed the estimated arrival time and also is closest to the estimated arrival time, based on the estimated arrival time and the update time information; and traffic information acquisition control means for controlling so as to acquire the traffic information from the information distribution center when it becomes the traffic information update time set by the update time setting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
