GRANULARITY REPRESENTATIVE VALUE ESTIMATION DEVICE AND GRANULARITY REPRESENTATIVE VALUE ESTIMATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for accurately estimating a granularity representative value without depending on conditions for every device.

SOLUTION: A granularity representative value estimation device 1 includes: a light irradiation device 2 which irradiates a powder sample with light in a wavelength region where a correlation value with a granularity representative value is 0.994 or more; and an arithmetic unit 6 which estimates the granularity representative value of the powder sample from relation among an extinction degree of the powder sample detected by a detector 4, the known extinction degree of a reference powder sample, and the granularity representative value. A measurement cell 5 is constituted so that the surroundings of the powder sample except on the surface of the measurement cell 5 attached to an integration ball 3 are surrounded by a light absorption member which absorbs the light with which the powder sample is irradiated.
