<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blade for an image forming apparatus that allows a user to recognize replacement timing thereof. <P>SOLUTION: A blade for an image forming apparatus is formed by disposing an elastic member to be in contact with a contacted body on an elongated plate along the longitudinal direction of the plate. The blade for an image forming apparatus includes an indicator member that is embedded into the elastic member and becomes exposed as abrasion of the elastic member proceeds, and thereby indicates the abrasion state of the elastic member.
