<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long life nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery while minimizing deterioration of load characteristics such as the rate or the output. <P>SOLUTION: In a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery 10, lithium salt contained in an electrolyte 17 oxidizes in a region of higher voltage than the charging potential of a positive electrode 15, but of lower voltage than the oxidation potential of the main component of the electrolyte 17. When the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery 10 is charged in that voltage region, the lithium salt contained in the electrolyte 17 is oxidized and decomposed, and since lithium ions are supplied to a negative electrode 16, the capacity is recovered. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
