<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict reduction in energy density by suppressing the displacement of an electrode element due to vibration or mechanical shock. <P>SOLUTION: A laminate type battery comprises an electrode element 20 having separators 23a, 23b respectively disposed between a plurality of electrode sheets 21, 22 which are laminated one on another and an outer sheathing film which accommodates the electrode element 20 and which consists of the peripheral portions of resin layers facing each other which are welded.
