<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a NOx concentration detecting device and detecting method that allow separate detection of NO concentration and NO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>concentration contained in NOx in detection object gases. <P>SOLUTION: An NO concentration equivalent is acquired on the basis of an output value of a detection element without a reduction part and having an NO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>/NO sensitivity ratio of 0.8; another NO concentration equivalent is acquired on the basis of an output value of a detection element with a reduction part and having an NO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>/NO sensitivity ratio of 1.0 (S23); the differential value ΔC between the NO concentration equivalents of the two detection elements is figured out (S25) and divided by the differential value ΔS between the NO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>/NO sensitivity ratios of the two detection elements to figure out an NO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>concentration equivalent (S26); and the product of multiplication of the NO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>concentration equivalent by the NO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>/NO sensitivity ratio of 1.0 is subtracted from the NO concentration equivalent of the detection element having the NO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>/NO sensitivity ratio of 1.0 to figure out the NO concentration equivalent (S27). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
