<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a failure diagnosis for a power converter more easily. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention is a failure diagnosis method for a power converter 2 that diagnoses a failure in the power converter 2 disposed with a transformer 4 for a converter on the upstream side or downstream side.
