<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control transmitter which improves an infrared signal transmission success rate regardless of a tilting angle of an instrument body and is capable of reducing power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: A remote control transmitter includes transmission units 2 (a front face transmission unit 21 and an upper face transmission unit 22) which transmit infrared signals controlling an illumination instrument S and for which transmission directions of infrared signals are different from each other, an instrument body 6 in which the transmission units 2 are provided, a tilt sensor 3 which detects tilting of the instrument body 6, operation units 5 (button switches 51 and 52) which request the transmission of infrared signals, and a control section 4 in which, when the operation units 5 generate a transmission request, on the basis of a detection result of the tilt sensor 3, at least one transmission unit (the front face transmission unit 21 or the upper face transmission unit 22) including the illumination instrument S in a radiation area of the infrared signal is selected and the selected transmission unit 2 is instructed to transmit the infrared signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
