<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high post type swinging type front support device capable of eliminating backlash generated when using a link, reducing the number of components, providing the device having light weight at a lower cost, and improving the safety of a work machine. <P>SOLUTION: A support post 25 is attached to a front support device attachment part 8A provided at the front part of a swing frame of a work machine by a vertical pin 36 inserted from below, such that the support post 25 is horizontally swingable. The support post 25 is integrally formed of a box type can-making structure from the lower part to the upper part having a work front attachment part and the attachment part of a hydraulic cylinder for moving up and down it.
