<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commutator and a DC motor that constantly prevent brush vibration during motor rotation and effectively prevent brush wear. <P>SOLUTION: A commutator 10 includes a commutator body section 12, and a commutator section 11 comprising a plurality of commutator segments 11a arranged on an outer circumference of the commutator body section 12 and electrically insulated from each other by commutator grooves 13, and has a one-way rotation direction. In the commutator 10, the plurality of commutator segments 11a each have a first corner portion 11a<SB POS="POST">1</SB>formed rotationally downstream by the commutator groove 13, and a second corner portion 11a<SB POS="POST">2</SB>formed rotationally upstream, and the first corner portion 11a<SB POS="POST">1</SB>has an angle θ<SB POS="POST">1</SB>larger than an angle θ<SB POS="POST">2</SB>of the second corner portion 11a<SB POS="POST">2</SB>of the adjacent commutator segment 11a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
